ougrée 1924 baxa burria

Ougrée 1924 baxa burria is a short movie realised on silver photographic film at Larrau in the french Pyrenees.

Bringing together artists from Bordeaux, Cherbourg and Bruxelles, this project saw the collective design and production of costumes, the writing and improvisation of a script and a scenario, the shooting of scenes, the realisation of ceramics sculpture with clay found on site, the editing and post-production pf the movie and the composition of an original soundtrack. The movie, shot with a bolex H16 camera from 1933 is inspired by the wind, Basque country witches' stories, the custom trail which go through Larrau, the border between France and Spain, the landscapes and the skies we met as well as the sensibilities and aesthetics of each participant.
